Given September is National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month, for the rest of the month, we'll be sharing tips, ideas and facts with you. It is truly going to take a village to turn this problem around so all of us need to be in the know. 

The facts:

  • 17% (12.5 million) of children and adolescents  aged 2 to 19 years are obese.
  • 1 of 3 children are obese or overweight before they even reach their 5th birthday.
  • Planning and providing nutritious and balanced meals for your children is key to prevention.
  • Increasing your child's physical activity and limiting screen time helps to prevent childhood obesity.
